Using the internet to find your new Parrotlet pet can be a wonderful tool---but it also can provide many conflicting points of view. It is our hope that your visit to Parrotlet Babies will provide you with clear, concise and accurate information in your quest for a Parrotlet Pet or Breeder Bird.
When you decide to adopt a Parrotlet Baby from us, we will be honest with you at all times. We will not pass a sick or problem bird off on anyone. We will not sell you a breeder bird and tell you it will be a wonderful pet.

Now... let's talk about the birds..............
Parrotlets make wonderful pets for any age group and can be easily kept in small apartments, condo's, dorm rooms, and bedrooms! These are quiet little birds that are actually small parrots--they make little chirping noises and do not have the ability to screech or squawk! Because the birds are so small, they have been nicknamed "pocket parrots". But don't let their small size fool you--they are very intelligent birds!
Parrotlets can be taught to do many tricks--they are very playful, curious, and can even be trained to talk. They love to mimic and feel comfortable with a routine. Parrotlets have an easy temperament and make excellent pets for all age groups!
Our Parrotlet Babies are hand-fed and handled everyday. This allows the birds to easily bond to new human owners after they are weaned. I have found that the more you handle a Parrotlet with love and respect, the sweeter the bird will be for you.
Our Parrotlets are available for adoption after they are fully weaned. Each bird has a different personality and weans in their own timing. Somewhere between 6 and 12 weeks, a bird is ready to form a bond with either a human or another bird. This is the perfect time to adopt a Parrotlet for a pet.
Occasionally there is a bird or two that does not get adopted with their clutch mates. When this happens, I continue to work with the bird, handling it everyday and giving it lots of love and attention. I know that eventually, someone will fall in love with the bird and want to adopt it. When that happens, I want that bird to be just as workable to the new owners as it would have been if it was adopted immediately after being weaned. Because I spend so much time with my birds, I can feel confident that the bird will bond well and respond warmly to its new owners at any age.
